Doom 3 is an instalment in the series that helped to define the first person shooter genre. Get ready to go up against an array of hideous demons, and make sure that you have the necessary firepower for the job.
Another Chapter in the Doom Saga
Doom 3 retains the mixture of science fiction and horror that provided the tone of the earlier games in the series. This time around, a Mars Research Facility has been invaded by demons. As the player, you take on the role of one of the few survivors of the attack, your job will be to fight your way through the demonic hordes and escape in one piece. Unlike the earlier games' emphasis on action, Doom 3 prioritises atmosphere and creepiness.
Choose Your Weapon
The Doom series became a fan favourite in large part because of the array of different weapons it offers, and Doom 3 does not depart from this tradition. The game gives the player access to a number of different weapons: you can gun down your friends with a pistol, hack through the hordes with a chainsaw, or do widespread damage with a grenade. But be warned that your various foes will have all manner of demonic weapons and attacks of their own.
